We Saw Our Down Time Diminish by 93%

I’m in charge of a medium size fleet of electric lift trucks. In 2007, we were experiencing a lot of down time due to batteries and chargers. We had a good mechanical maintenance contractor that kept the lifts running, but their weak side was batteries. I noticed that they always called Action Battery Service in Saskatoon when they were stumped.

I decided to contact Action Battery and discuss a PM (preventative maintenance) program with them. After their first couple of visits we saw our down time diminish by 93%. Action Battery’s success is due to good maintenance and a superb reporting system. I am very happy I made the decision to call Action Battery Service back in ’07.

Since We’ve Implemented Their PM Program, We’ve Had Virtually No Down Time

In our business, when something isn’t a problem, it means it’s working well. Prior to working with Action Battery Service, we had equipment breakdowns and battery failures. At that time we were using an ad hoc service, where we would phone as needed; we didn’t have PM (preventative maintenance) program.

We got in touch and had Action Battery come out to work with us. Since we’ve implemented their PM program, we’ve had virtually no down time as result of poor batteries – it’s not an issue any more. They’re clean, professional, and they run a seamless operation.

I Absolutely Recommend Them

We were having lots of trouble maintaining the batteries and run-time on several pieces of equipment at the Field House. Action Battery Service was able to diagnose the problem, and also do regular maintenance that helped extend the life of the batteries.

The Field House has a unique emergency lighting system that no one in the city was trained to service until Action Battery Service educated themselves on it. They’ve serviced it since 2012. Having that local expertise at our fingertips is huge. We have a great relationship with them, and I absolutely recommend them.
